Old Wives Tales

SO i'm sure you have all heard of some of the old wives tales. First there's the one about the heart rate. If it's 140 or higher, it's a girl. If it's 139 or lower, a boy. First time we heard the heart it was 170. Second time it was 142. And now with my doppler it has been 155 twice. So as far as this tale goes, I should be having a girl.


Now to the needle and thread test. We tried this too. You hang a needle from thread and hang it perfectly still over your belly and if it goes back and forth in a line, its a boy. If it goes in a circular motion, it's a girl. When Jacob held, we got boy results. When I held it, we got girl results. We may have to try this one again later and see if we can get one dominate answer.


The baking soda and urine test. I tried this the other day. You put a tablespoon of baking soda in a cup and pour some of your urine in it. If it fizzes like a soda, it's a boy. If it does nothing, it's a girl. When I did it, it did absolutely nothing! So as far as this test goes, I am having a girl.


The Chinese Gender Chart says I am having a boy.


I should find out in a bout 6 weeks what the gender is and I can't wait!! I am hoping for a girl and Jacob is hoping for a boy but as long as the babies healthy I will be happy!
